This Week in the Missouri Senate for the Week of Oct. 17: SCR 50 and HB 2379

Jefferson CityThis Week in the Missouri Senate reviews two measures that relate to suicide prevention. Senate Concurrent Resolution 50 designates the month of September as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month in Missouri. House Bill 2379 requires the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to develop training guidelines and school districts to adopt a policy for youth suicide awareness and prevention education.
