Missouri senators are preparing to return to Jefferson City for the First Extraordinary Session of the 96th General Assembly, to talk about economic development and job creation. At the same time, one of the bills from the regular session that will become law on Aug. 28, 2011 is Senate Bill 19, which will cap and phase out the state’s corporate franchise tax. We’ve included actualities from Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Glendale, and Sen. Timothy Green, D-Spanish Lake, in this feature report, narrated by Senate Communications Officer Dean Morgan.
