This Week in the Missouri Senate for Mar. 18, 2011: Employment Legislation

This Week in the Missouri Senate reviews four bills either debated on the Senate floor or heard in committee:

Senate Bill 1, which would bar employers from requiring employees to engage in or cease engaging in certain labor practices (Audio: Sen. Luann Ridgeway, R-Smithville; Senate Leader Robert N. Mayer, R-Dexter; Senate Minority Floor Leader Victor Callahan, D-Independence; and Sen. Timothy Green, D-Spanish Lake);

  • Senate Bill 8, which would restrict co-employee liability in workers’ compensation cases (Audio: Sen. Jack Goodman, R-Mount Vernon; Sen. Jason Crowell, R-Cape Girardeau; and Sen. Callahan); and
  • Senate Bill 420 and Senate Bill 430, measures that would dissolve the Second Injury Fund and modify laws relating to Workers’ Compensation (Audio: Sen. Mayer and Sen. Callahan).
